Peachtree Hospitality Management is Hiring a VP Operations Near Atlanta, GA

Summary/objective

The Vice President of Operations will work closely with and supervise the Regional Director of Operations. This position is responsible for the overall financial success of each property. The successful candidate will also be responsible for overall property performance and brand compliance while reporting to the SVP Operations.

Essential functions

  • Supervise a group of hotel assets and provide leadership.
  • Work with property leadership and corporate support teams to drive property revenue.
  • Work with property-based and corporate support teams to ensure proper controls are in place to achieve budgeted and forecasted GOP to meet or exceed flow-thru targets.
  • Ensure the Regional Director of Operations are driving General Managers to properly preserving the assets ensuring cleanliness and condition are in place as well as proper preventative maintenance programs are in use.
  • Assist in overseeing annual operating budget process, reviewing and approving budgets before presentation to the owners.
  • Interact with ownership group, be proactive and responsiveness to needs and inquires.
  • Review and respond to company performance reports.
  • Assist in developing property level General Managers through training and mentorship.
  • Develop solutions that will positively affect the overall performance of the hotel assets
  • Participate with business development and ownership meetings.
  • Provide counsel to managers

Competencies

  • Skilled in development, acquisitions and growth strategies
  • Brand background preferred
  • Experience with direct responsibility for revenues.
  • Highly numerate and commercially aware with a solid understanding of business finance/accounting with a demonstrable record of consistent commercial success.
  • Proven successful high level internal and external relationship management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Extensive people management experience is essential, with the ability to guide, develop, motivate and coach individuals and groups toward with achievement of demanding goals and targets.

Travel required

  • Up to 50%

Required education and experience

  • Multi-unit Hotel leadership experience a must
  • Experience working with Hilton, Marriott, and IHG branded hotels
  • Experience with directly overseeing a variety of hotel segments
