Job Type Part-time Description

My Dentist is a family dental practice led by an amazing General Dentist. We are growing and adding a part-time Dental Assistant to our team.

This two-day / week position will work Thursday and Friday each week. As a Dental Assistant with My Dentist, you will have a supportive team, professional development, and continuing education opportunities.

• Welcome patients to the dental office, escorting them to treatment rooms
• Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed.
• Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
• Schedule appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
• Order dental supplies and keep track of dental supply inventory.

The ideal Dental Assistant will have one or more years of chairside experience, be BLS certified, X-Ray certified, and be passionate about patient care.

Requirements

One or more years experience as a Dental Assistant in a family practice setting

Experience with taking X-rays, including digital scans

Be comfortable presenting treatment plans chairside

X-Ray certified

BLS certified

Denticon experience is a plus!

Salary Description 20-22 / hr
