Office Manager - Chicago Area Automotive Dealership

A leader in the automotive industry is seeking a strong candidate qualified to lead a team of professionals in a centralized office. We are now accepting applications and resumes for an OFFICE MANAGER. We are searching for a leader with strong time-management and organization skills, who can provide exceptional customer service. 

The Office Manager processes and generates financial data to create a clear report of the accurate financial condition of the business. This will include submitting financials to the lenders, expense review and trend reporting to the CFO, as well as monthly review of financials with the General Manager. The Office Manager will make sure there is adequate staffing and handle schedules to ensure proper coverage. You will be responsible for the accounting office and administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement preparation and submission
  • Daily bank reconciliations; Incentive collections and reconciliations
  • Daily DOC review
  • Train office staff; Enforce compliance in the accounting office; Approve time and attendance for the accounting teams
  • Expense control support
  • Assist the floorplan auditors
  • Financial floor plan reconciliations
  • Assist the year end auditors
  • Physical inventory monthly; Used car write down
  • Prepare sales tax returns
  • Statistical data entries
  • Obtain accurate people counts for the financial statement
  • Post EOM workbooks; Post mid-month and EOM CIT chargeback reports
  • Finalize unit counts monthly
  • Attend meetings
  • Schedule cleaning
  • Other duties may be assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be a team-player and develop strong relationships with all team members
  • Knowledgeable on operational processes for dealerships
  • Must have strong customer service and communication skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business
  • Must be able to manage and enforce policies set in place
  • BA/BS Degree preferred, but not required
  • Experienced in the automotive industry is required
