We are searching for a versatile and motivated Data Analyst / Designer / Developer to join our Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in transforming complex data into visually appealing and actionable intelligence.
Primary activities are centered around delivering data utilized for the ongoing monitoring and management of information systems deployed across thousands of retail store locations globally. Business intelligence and analytics reporting focused on video-based retail theft activity captured from deployed systems.
Why this position is unique and highly desirable: Data and intelligence are the products. This position is directly tied to developing and managing industry leading BI products. The BI team is the center of gravity for developing business globally while leveraging AI and other cutting-edge technologies for data acquisition.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS; but not limited to:

• 3 years of experience in data analytics and data visualization
• Must have recent experience and proficiency with reporting and dashboarding using Looker Studio (Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, etc...).
• Experience architecting and implementing data visualizations that visually present complex data to users in simple and actionable format.
• Experience connecting visualizations to data models in GCP (BigQuery,)
• Strong SQL experience, able to write complex queries to join tables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on presenting complex data in a comprehensible manner.
• Strong customer focus and interaction to listen to users, explore the data, and present multiple alternatives to meet solution objectives.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and cleansing to ensure accuracy and reliability of the information presented.
• Stay current with the latest trends in data visualization, design, and business intelligence to drive innovation in reporting practices.
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively.
• Ongoing administrative management of customer reporting and reporting services

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and extract insights from complex data sets.
• Solid understanding of data analysis techniques, data modeling, and statistical concepts.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights effectively to various stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for creating visually engaging and user-centric designs.
• Strong understanding of database concepts, SQL, and data querying for report creation

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Design, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4 years of experience within related position
• Proven experience in data visualization, using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.
• Experience in coding or scripting (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
• Previous experience with ETL processes and data warehousing is advantageous.
• Experience with BigQuery, Postgres is a big plus
• Portfolio showcasing previous data visualization and design work is highly desirable.
