Global US-based Manufacturer is Hiring a Field Service Engineer Near Wheeling, IL
Job Description
Our Field Service Engineer travels to customers’ facilities to inspect, install, demonstrate and test, train, troubleshoot and repair custom machine systems used worldwide for a variety of manufacturing purposes. Must be able to travel extensively; up to 50% of the time. The majority of travel is in the USA. Next would be Mexico, Canada, and India. Europe and other Asian countries would be less often.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the installation, operation and maintenance of machine systems including electrical, mechanical, and programming activities.
- Performs machine service and repair and determine parts required for repairs
- Consults with customers and engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
- Assists in training of customers.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered, you must have:
- Associates degree in electronics or related mechanical field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repairs
- Experience with precision machining and PLC controls
- Experience with CNC programming a plus
