Description

Reports to: SVP of Operations

Summary:

The Regional Vice President is responsible for providing mentoring and strategic guidance to a team of Regional Managers and serves as an executive liaison between clients, onsite teams and the corporate office to lead the overall success of a fee-managed student housing portfolio. This position also includes assisting directors and other leadership and executive team members with special projects as needed. Travel is required.

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as primary strategic liaison between Owner/ Owner’s Rep and PeakMade.
  • Direct the overall operations of the assigned portfolio- up to 30 properties
  • Directly hire, train, develop and mentor a team of Regional Managers
  • Develop subordinates’ skills and encourage growth
  • Analyze market conditions, occupancy trends, competitive pricing and product in order to make recommendations for adjusting market rents, renewal rates, retention programs, and leasing incentives
  • Monitor, assist and make recommendations to improve marketing activities; review occupancy status and recommend rent schedules and rates
  • Responsible for the overall financial activities of the properties, including capital improvements, property management, budgets, owner cash flow and lease up
  • Oversee the marketing and leasing plans for entire portfolio
  • Maximize operating performance and assist with achievement of company's financial goals
  • Resolve resident relation issues
  • Ensure compliance with Peak’s policies and procedures as it relates to risk management, budgets, expenses, marketing, training, and HR related issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience & Skills Needed:

  • B.A. from a recognized 4-year college or university preferred
  • Proficiency with on-site property management practices, tools, and software
  • 5 years’ experience in a comparable position supervising a minimum of 10 properties
  • Student housing and/or market rate multi-family required
  • Lease up experience highly preferred
  • Experience with 3rd party management or fee-based management required
  • Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing and possess a strong supervisory, personnel management and organization skills
  • Ability to travel frequently is required (60% travel)
  • A valid driver’s license and reasonable or limited use of your vehicle is required from time to time
