Job Description:

We are seeking a Lead Clinical Annotator. This position requires at least 10 years of full-time chairside US-based experience, an outstanding attention to detail, impeccable organizational skills, and exceptional radiographic diagnostic acumen. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the annotation team, establishing clinical standards, and generating high-quality training data for our machine learning (ML) team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and management of Pearl’s annotation team.
  • Develop and maintain clinical standards and guidelines for data annotation, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Implement quality control processes and audits to verify the accuracy and relevance of annotated data.
  • Collaborate with the ML team to understand data needs and provide high-quality, annotated datasets.
  • Utilize annotation tools and software effectively to manage and organize large volumes of data.
  • Develop project plans, set goals, and manage timelines to ensure the timely delivery of annotated datasets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including data science, product development, and regulatory teams to align on project requirements and deliverables.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of the annotation processes, clinical guidelines, and quality control measures.
  • Generate reports on annotation progress, quality metrics, and team performance for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • 10 years of clinical practice experience as a dentist practicing in the United States.
    • Preferred experience in AI or leadership roles overseeing other clinicians.
    • Previous experience in data annotation is a plus.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Strong people management and leadership abilities, with a focus on team development and performance.
    • Ability to mentor and teach.
    • Extraordinary attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency with data annotation tools and software. Experience with ML and CV projects is a plus.
