Primary PurposeTo work with the public, students and school personnel answering and routing questions and messages, and to aid the secretary in running an efficient and positive office.
EducationQUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED
Special Knowledge/SkillsAbility to work with the public; ability to deal with children
Ability to work with interruptions
Ability to make good judgments and decisions
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Computer skills: word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
Excellent organizational and mathematical skills
Excellent communication skills
ExperienceSome experience working with school-aged children; possess public relations skills
Equipment UsedMulti-line phone system; standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands:Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
Physical Demands/Environmental FactorsProlonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
May work prolonged or irregular hours
Pay Rate: Min. $12.51; Mid. $15.33
