We're currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our finance team.
Job Summary:The Telematics Production/Installation Technician is responsible for hardware configuration, kitting, shipping, receiving and installation of our products to provide solid solutions to our customers. You must have the ability to analyze complex diagrams and installation guides and have extensive knowledge of the Pedigree products and solutions. It is essential this individual provides exceptional and professional service to our fleet customers. The ideal person will have some mechanical and electronics experience, excellent communication skills and a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
The successful employee will be responsible for operating production line equipment, finishing products and reporting any issues with equipment directly to supervisors. Additional Production tasks include the assessment and processing of RMA devices that which have been sent in for replacement. You will troubleshoot any problems arising in the equipment.
This individual will provide back up to the Installation Team by providing installations of Pedigree products in vehicles of various sizes, including semi-trailer trucks, pickups, automobiles and bulk fuel tanks. The various kinds of equipment is installed and repaired by a Telematics Production/Installation Technician including asset tracking, ELD equipment monitoring and tank monitoring devices. They must work independently or under little supervision while attending to the needs of the customer and travel to customer locations.
Requirements:
  • Experience in electronics production or assembly required.
  • Ability to install and interconnect M2M communication hardware and sensors.
  • Ability to install, program and troubleshoot wireless devices.
  • Proficiency with running and pulling cable, programming and calibrating equipment while adhering to codes, regulations and standards.
  • Networking experience specifically with cable termination combination.
  • Needs to have familiarity with basic power hand tools including drills, various multi-meter tools and diagnostic devices.
  • Must have ability to diagnose electrical problems and determine the root cause of the failure.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of 12-volt automotive fundamentals.
  • Experience in vehicle diagnostics, technical equipment installation, or equivalent educational background.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on several tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and documentation skills.
  • Provide telephone or video technical support for partner technicians and installers.
  • Knowledge of various vehicle electrical communication systems (CAN, Multiplex) a plus but not required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or general mechanical skills a plus.
  • Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license in good standing, current or former Class A CDL a plus but not required. Must also be able to sign vehicle rental agreements.
  • High school diploma/GED required. Technical School Training a plus.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical service and support for all hardware associated with project installations.
  • Provide customer support and service, in the form of phone and online support, for technical issues on projects and installations.
  • Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
  • Responsible for keeping personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
  • Ensures worksite, both internally and at the customer’s worksite, is clean after completion of job.
  • Undertake site surveys and create installation specifications to support the pre-sales teams.
  • Achievement of “do it right the first time” quality metrics.
  • Testing installed systems following company protocols.
  • Providing onsite contractor and customer installation training.
  • Must be able to travel by air and vehicle throughout the United States and Canada.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Become a technical installation expert for all Pedigree solutions and tooling.
  • Continue to develop all relevant product knowledge and skills and attend training whenever deemed necessary.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of products
  • Perform other related duties as required.
