Peers and Partners, Inc. is Hiring a Project Manager Near Washington, DC

We are seeking a Project Manager that has experience supporting the federal government, commercial, and non-governmental organizations. Considered candidates will have the opportunity to support our nation’s public health initiatives through direct work with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

*THIS ROLE IS WASHINGTON D.C. BASED. ONLY APPLICANTS RESIDING IN THE AREA WILL BE CONSIDERED*

General Duties:

  • Supporting and coordinating with leadership, project managers, and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to complete assigned projects on time, within budget and scope
  • Overseeing all aspects of projects including monitoring and summarizing the statuses of each staff person’s tasks and assignments
  • Coordinate with other program managers to ensure all aspects of each task/project are completed
  • The development of a detailed project management program to track tasks and assignment progress
  • Assist with measurable project objectives using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Prepare monthly project status reports for all leadership teams
  • Work with internal partners to identify, analyze and mitigate potential risks, and contract issues
  • Create and maintain comprehensive, professional project documentation, spreadsheets, diagrams, databases, and processes
  • Manage the interaction and communications with all staff and stakeholders.
  • Provide cross-agency policy group support, and planning support for all departmental programs including divisional annual project plans, progress monitoring, and development of metrics and milestones
  • Consistently prepared to present and discuss the status of current activities, requirements, and issues

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business field (e.g., Program Management, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, and Economics)
  • Minimum of six years of professional supervisory/management experience
  • Project Management Professional Certification is preferred
  • Relevant experience must be in program management (e.g., trend and forecast analysis, earned value management, cost benefit analysis, balanced scorecard, activity-based costing, life cycle cost estimating, activity-based budgeting, and gap analysis), personnel management, and project management (e.g., communications plan development, risk management, project management frameworks such as Agile, resource planning and management, conflict management and resolution).
  • Demonstrated ability/experience in successfully developing, implementing, and managing complex, high profile, multi-faceted projects
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and perform multiple tasks at the same time
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
