Pelican Energy is looking for a Senior Pipeline Engineer / Supervisor with at least 10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas, CO2 Capture and Transportation, or Chemical industries. Position DescriptionSenior Pipeline Engineer overseeing and executing multi-disciplinary engineering and design pipeline projects with budgets ranging from $50,000 to $5,000,000 within the Oil and Gas, CO2 Capture and Transportation, and Chemical Industries. The Pipeline Engineer is responsible for designing, training, and managing all engineering activities for pipeline projects. This role requires coordination with the Drafting/Design team, other engineering disciplines, and the Project Management team throughout the duration of the project. The primary focus of the Pipeline Engineer is designing gathering and transportation pipelines and associated facility projects for a variety of clients in the energy industry. Additionally, the Pipeline Engineer collaborates with third-party teams such as Land, ROW, Survey, and Construction Management, while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of pipeline codes, specifications, and regulations to ensure design and compliance standards are met. The Pipeline Engineer also oversees direct client interactions for assigned projects and manages the pipeline components of those projects. Position QualificationsCompetency Statement(s):

Skills And AbilitiesEducation: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited U.S. Institution Experience: 10 years related experience Computer Skills: Navisworks, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam Revu, Pipeline Toolbox, Google Earth Pro, Certifications & Licenses: Professional Engineer License- preferred Other RequirementsEngineering Skills:
Working knowledge of current industry codes & specifications including, but not limited to: API RP’s, 49 CFR 192 / 195, DOT and PHMSA regulations, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, etc.
Provide oversight for all Federal, State, and other permitting requirements
Pipeline design codes and calculations
Working knowledge of Pipeline Toolbox
Fracture propagation calculations and analysis
Hydraulic Surge analysis
Experience in Pipe Stress Analysis (Caesar-II)
Have working knowledge of alignment sheets and crossing details
Horizontal Directional Drill design and stress calculation packages
Pipeline metallurgy
Participation in PSSR’s, and PHA’s
Knowledge of MOC process
Knowledge of pipeline operations standards, practices, and procedures.
Experience writing and revising standards or procedures
Ability to make informed decisions involving pipeline remediation/repairs
