Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct s inspections on first articles, customer returns , in-process, and in coming ; completes final inspections , inspects staged products prior to shipments to clients .
- Initiate s Non-Conformance reports as required .
- Input s key inspection process metrics for trending and monitoring purposes
- Perform s accurate physical and visual inspections of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per inspection plans and specification requirements .
- Perform s product identification and traceability activities .
- Read s and interpret s specification and drawings.
- Work s with personnel to resolve inspection questions.
- Follow s all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations .
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in Handbook and follow guidelines regarding safety as outline in the AWAIR, and other safety procedures in accordance to the job.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent specific experience .
- General computer knowledge required . Must be able to enter information into excel databases, in addition to keeping accurate records.
- Familiar with manufacturing environment, inspecting, testing, sampling, and sorting of products/goods being manufactured.
- Comfortable with basic machinery and able to learn equipment test procedures where required .
- Two-year technical degree.
- Two years’ experience within a recognized quality program (ISO, ASTM, GMP) .
- Actively supports and complies with Pelican’s objectives, guidelines and commitment to Quality and Safety, with an emphasis on continual improvement.
- Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
- Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
- Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be occasionally required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
