Team Description

Pendo is seeking an Associate Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, this role will support expense accounting including Accounts Payable and Corporate T&E functions. This is a visible role that will engage cross-functionally with all departments as they incur expenses. This role will also connect regularly with our outside vendors to reconcile any questions regarding account balances and payment status.

Role Responsibilities 

• Match invoices against purchase orders, enter invoice details into the accounting system, and reconcile amounts to the support provided by the vendor
• Provide payment remittances and details to vendors as requested
• Review expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies
• Advise employees on travel booking and expense reimbursement questions
• Analyze expense data and prepare reporting for month end procedures
• Prepare month end close journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain internal controls and provide audit support as requested

Minimum Qualifications 

• Associates degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance 
•  Knowledge of accounting terminology and processes

Preferred Qualifications 

• One (1) of experience in an accounting or finance related role (includes internship experience)
• Tech savvy with software knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, online banking platforms (JP Morgan a plus), FloQast (a plus), and/or Workday (a plus)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally across departments and locations
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and ability to problem solve

Compensation 

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in: Raleigh, NC is $50,400 - $60,000 USD.

Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
