Penick Village Inc. Continuing Care Life Plan community is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care In-Home Aides to join our Home Care Department. In-Home Aides are an integral part of meeting the mind, body and spiritual needs of our clients who receive care in their own home, our Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing levels of care.

In-Home Aides provide basic housekeeping and care for residents who are sick and during recovery. Care includes cleaning, planning and accompanying residents to activities and social events that promote the health and well-being through medication, diet, and exercise plans.

Home Care In-Home Aides promote high quality, life enriching care and positive engaging social interaction. Companions work collaboratively with the family and medical care teams.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides companionship and emotional support.
2. Provides transportation for medical appointments, shopping, social events, or recreational
activities.
3. Accompanies clients to recreational and/or social events.
4. Gives medication reminders and assistance as permitted by policy.
5. Writes or types letters/correspondence; organizes and reads mail.
6. Household management, including meal planning, shopping and preparation; light
housekeeping; laundry.
7. Performs pet care.
8. Reports for shifts on time and demonstrates reliability.
9. Accepts new client assignments and displays reasonable flexibility in work schedules.
10. Maintains strict confidentiality of client and agency information.
11. Has the ability to instill confidence in co-workers and clients by reacting calmly and
appropriately to difficult situations.
12. Contributes to a pleasant work environment by maintaining professional demeanor.
13. Holds coworkers accountable for job performance in a diplomatic manner.
14. Timely and accurately completes and maintains records of work activities, observations,
and hours of service.
15. Uses home and office supplies responsibly and efficiently.
16. Attends in-service trainings to gain and maintain skills.
17. Ensures compliance with applicable state and federal laws, as well as Penick Village
Home Care policies and procedures.
