Penn Community Bank is Hiring a Portfolio Manager - Commercial Banking Near Yardley, PA

Overview

Coordinate the management of the Team’s loan portfolio in conjunction with the Relationship Managers, Loan Assistants and Credit Analysts, along with providing support to the Relationship Managers on new loans as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and addresses loan maturities or requested loan modifications by working with the customers, Relationship Managers and Credit Analysts to determine recommendations for loan maturity extensions or loan modifications.
  • Submits requests for analysis and credit approval packages to the credit department.
  • Reviews credit approval packages for accuracy and completeness.
  • Obtains the loan extension/modification approvals in conjunction with the Relationship Manager assigned to the credit from the appropriate approving authority.
  • Completes and/or requests the credit department to complete loan reviews for loans in the portfolio.
  • Prepares any covenants violations notices for reporting to appropriate loan approval authorities.
  • Responsible for the procurement and execution of loan documents as needed for loan maturity extensions, loan modifications, covenant violation waivers and payoff requests.
  • Assists the loan assistants with requesting and collecting required financial information that is required for each loan in the portfolio.
  • Assists the Relationship Managers with new loan production support including coordination of loan approvals with credit, ordering of third party reports, acts as the liaison with the appraisal department and assists with the loan closing process.
  • Works with the Relationship Managers and Loan Assistants to resolve any post-closing exceptions.
  • Monitors the loan portfolio to insure that deposit accounts required by loan approvals have been established and maintained.
  • Manages on-going updates to Salesforce files with customer interactions and relationship updates.
  • Reviews delinquency reports and assist Relationship Manager with payment collections.
  • Looks to identify areas of improvement that contribute to Bank profitability.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; or completion of a Credit Training program and equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in credit analysis and/or as a commercial lender

Skills and Competencies

  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lending, including a solid understanding of underwriting and credit.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Satisfactory knowledge of loan documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills; the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Thorough knowledge of products and services offered by the Bank.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
