T. AVERILL ARCHITECT, LLC. is an architectural firm in Annapolis MD seeking an Experienced Architectural Designer and/ or Licensed Architect to join our growing team! Our projects include historical, residential, and commercial renovations and new construction of all types. For over 20 years, we have provided exceptional service for residential, as well as commercial clients throughout the Annapolis Area, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, New York, and Delaware areas.

You'd be working with a small team in a client-friendly environment where we approach each project uniquely and personally. There is much room for learning and growth within the organization.

Tasks you may do on a typical day:

• Create and Interpret Architectural Drawings
• Execute new design decisions that are communicated from the Principle Architect.
• Develop skills to interpret and draft construction details.
• Properly measure and draw to scale different projects ranging from residential to commercial. Rendering (by hand, or CADD)
• Coordinate and attend site meetings.
• Research and communicate project needs such as but not limited to variances, code requirements, zoning requirements, and engineering needs.
• Provide clear and concise communication with clients and contractors.
• Project Management (based on experience level).

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4-6 Years of experience in an Architectural setting.
• Architectural degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Vectorworks, or other CADD program.
• Basic knowledge of computer software to include: Microsoft Works, Adobe, Google Workspace, Photoshop, Sketchup, Bluebeam and other PDF editing programs
• Knowledge of construction documents, design and construction methodology.
• Excellent critical thinking skills with exacting attention to detail.
• An ability to manage multiple priorities and diverse responsibilities.
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, independent, adaptable, and versatile with an enthusiastic collaborative spirit.

Education:

• Bachelor's, B. Arch or M. Arch (Preferred), or Equivalent Experience (8-10 years)
