We have an opportunity for a Technical Product Specialist to join our Industrial Solutions team in Conroe, TX. In this role, you will report to a Sr Product Manager and directly support the OEM / Engineered Filtration category. In this highly collaborative position, you will liaise with customers, sales, and operations to drive sales growth and market share for this innovative product line. You will:

• Act as a subject matter expert with regards to material selection, compatibility, performance characteristics, and appropriateness for application in support of sales and other departments in the organization as needed.
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply, Sales, and Marketing teams through each phase of product development and project management.
• Determine materials of construction and configuration, appropriate to client opportunity needs while considering cost, volume, and estimated profitability. Utilize this information to create Request for Quotes (RFQs) and product concept proposals.
• Direct the modification or changes to existing product designs and packaging. Conduct product rationalization analysis and activities. Support and manage timeline for completion of vendor tooling modifications as it pertains to legacy raw material design/quality enhancements.
• Support new product development pipeline by researching and recommending new products and services or market opportunities consistent with corporate capabilities and objectives.
• Participate in voice of customer (VOC) activities that aid with development of new product specifications to solve customer problems.

Key Qualifications:

• Have earned a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.).
• Have 5 years of professional experience that could include product support, technical sales, engineering, or application support within the compressed air treatment, porous / hollow fiber filtration, membrane filtration, or similar filtration industry.
• Strong technical aptitude, including ability to understand and interpret mechanical systems (processing, filtration, etc), process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs), bills of material (BOM), and/or layout drawings.
• Strong commercial aptitude, including ability to understand customer needs and requirements, identify solutions, build long-term dynamic relationships, and driven to find new markets or channels.
• Proven quantitative and organizational skills and the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions.
