Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial and Light Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities, while also possessing basic knowledge of light maintenance tasks. The role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in all areas of the facility including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Waste Management: Empty trash receptacles, dispose of waste properly, and ensure that recycling procedures are followed.
- Floor Care: Maintain floor surfaces by mopping, buffing, waxing, and polishing as necessary. Report any damage or issues with flooring to the appropriate personnel.
- Restroom Maintenance: Keep restrooms clean, stocked, and sanitized. Monitor and replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Light Maintenance Tasks: Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing air filters, and minor repairs to fixtures and equipment. Report any maintenance issues that require further attention to the maintenance supervisor.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while performing duties. Report any safety hazards or concerns to management immediately.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and inform management when supplies need to be replenished.
- Assist with Special Projects: Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned, such as deep cleaning, carpet shampooing, and post-construction cleanup.
Qualifications
- Previous Experience: Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Basic Maintenance Skills: Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and minor repairs.
- Physical Stamina: Capable of standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects and equipment as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and management.

Part-time:
Monday 8:30am-5:00pm
Tuesday 8:30am-5:00pm
Thursday 8:30am-12:30pm
Pay is $16.00 per hour.
