Responsibilities:

• Conduct weekly Catholic Mass and Confessions every Sunday at 8:15 AM.
• Provide Catholic Mass for Holy Days of Obligation including Solemnity of Mary, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Solemnity of All Saints, Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, and Good Friday.
• Arrive no less than 30 minutes prior to the start and stay 30 minutes after the end of service for set-up and tear-down.
• Provide moral and ethical guidance to recruits and staff members.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Ensure substitute coverage when unavailable and notify the Command Chaplain of any absences/substitutions.

Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Minimum of 5 years of Pastoral experience.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Flexible and able to adjust to short notice and demands.
• Ordained Priest in good standing with the Catholic Church.
• Must obtain and maintain Ecclesiastical Endorsement from the Military Archdiocese.
• Required to have faculties from the Archdiocese for Military Services, USA (AMS).
• Must provide a copy of faculties upon application.

Work Hours:

• Primary work hours are Sundays from 7:45 AM to 9:45 AM.
• Additional hours for Holy Days of Obligation and other required services.

Security Requirements:

• Must complete a background investigation as required for access to the USCG Training Center
