Sales and Marketing Representative

Status : Full-time 

Starting Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 plus commission 

Location: Hybrid 

Department: Sales and Marketing

Position Overview:

The Sales and Marketing Coordinator will play a significant role in driving the company's growth by supporting the sales and marketing teams. This position involves generating and qualifying leads, managing customer relationships, coordinating marketing campaigns, and providing administrative support to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of sales and marketing principles. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Sales Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential customers or clients through various channels (e.g., online research, social media, databases). 
  • Qualify leads by assessing their needs and readiness to purchase or engage with the company’s products or services. 
  • Maintain and update customer information in CRM systems. 
  • Follow up on leads and prospects through phone calls, emails, and other communication methods. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients. 
  • Assist the sales team with preparing proposals, presentations, and contracts. 
  • Coordinate and schedule sales meetings and demonstrations. 
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including data entry, report generation, and managing correspondence. Process sales orders and ensure accurate and timely entry into the company’s systems. 

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing campaigns (e.g., email, social media, content marketing). 
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of marketing content and materials.
  • Compile and analyze data to inform marketing strategies and decisions. 
  • Generate and analyze sales and marketing reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Segment and manage contact lists for targeted marketing efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements:

This position will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity that requires a diverse set of skills and experience. While we understand that no single candidate can possess every qualification listed below, the following are priority areas:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred. 
  • Proven experience (1 - 3 years) in inside sales, marketing, or a similar role. 
  • Experience with CRM software and marketing tools. 
  • Familiarity with lead generation, qualifications, and customer relationship management. 
  • Experience in campaign coordination, content creation, and event planning is preferred. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent presentation skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Proficiency in maintaining organized records and documentation. 
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights. 
  • Proficiency in generating and interpreting sales and marketing reports. 
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders. 
  • Effective collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic. 
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong commitment to achieving goals and meeting deadlines. 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for events and trade shows. 
  • Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed for special projects or deadlines. 

Compensation:

The starting salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 plus commission ($90,000 – 100,000 OTE), with a generous benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, and generous paid time off.

Working Location and Environment:

People Stretch’s primary office is in McLean, VA, and has a potential hybrid work schedule. This is a general work environment with infrequent exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
