JOB SUMMARY:
The Finance Planning and Accounting Manager provides technical accounting guidance to ensure all
companies’ controlling and financial accounting functions comply with IFRS and the VW Accounting
Handbook and accounting processes in critical areas are appropriately and adequately supported and
documented. Looking for bilingual Korean
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop, implement, and maintain project accounting systems to ensure accurate cost
accounting and reporting in line with US GAAP and internal policies and procedures
• Monitor the activities of accounting standard setting bodies, SEC, FASB, IASB, AICPA, and
EITF and prepare operational/financial impact assessments of proposed and adopted
accounting/SEC standards
• Work closely with the Corporate Accounting department to clear technical matters, report
quarterly accounting updates, prepare reports and filings.
• Support the finance and treasury teams with accounting practices and cash flow tasks
• Oversee the general accounting team by owning and managing the month and quarter-end
close process for our business for each state in which we operate
• Research and determine the appropriate accounting treatment for technical matters
• Support the finance and treasury teams with accounting practices and cash flow tasks,
including review of cash flows
• Provide technical U.S. GAAP expertise and guidance to the organization keeping abreast of
new and updated accounting pronouncements
• Update and coordinate feedback from others within the organization related to Finance and
Accounting policies
• Begin implementation of new U.S. GAAP accounting pronouncements related to Revenue
Recognition and Leases
• Participate in the audit process
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.); advanced degree preferred but not required. CPA certification
strongly preferred.
• 4 years progressive experience in accounting and management of accounting functions
• A mix of private company experience and public accounting experience a plus.
• Accounting systems experience a very strong plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively throughout the company
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; able to manage and own priorities
and workflow.
• Enthusiasm for a rapidly growing environment; ability to manage change
• Comfortable working with a level of ambiguity and developing internal processes to streamline
activities.
• Proven leadership and management skills
• Commitment to excellence, including laser focus on accuracy, timeliness and relevance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
