PeopleReady Skilled Trades is looking for experienced experienced Handymen for residential and commercial construction projects in the Palm Springs area.
The pay rate for this job is $25 - $50 / hourBenefits :

- Perform simple repairs on company appliances, machines, and equipment
- Use a variety of hand and power tools without supervision
- Repair and maintain plumbing and electrical systems
- Oversee the maintenance of various devices and appliances
- Perform electrical repairs in community areas, including lights and laundry
- Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary
- Complete general building cleaning and maintenance
- Install and replace floors, stairs and piping as needed
- Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs and other parts of the building
- Maintain trash and recycling receptacles around the facility
- Maintain and repair air conditioning and heating systems as requiredQualifications :
- 2-5 years of work history in a similar role preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to fully grasp requirements
- Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials
- Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work with little supervision and manage a team effectively
- Proficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement tools
- Willingness to comply with safety guidelines at all times
- Solid basic math skills
- Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity
- Minimum 3-5 years of finish / rough commercial and residential carpentry experience
- Strong scheduling and blueprint reading skills as well as knowledge of metal stud / wood framing, material management, metal doors, hardware install, drywall, trim, cabinets / counter tops, suspended grid, tile install, etc.
- Reliable transportation to and from jobsites
- Basic math skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the fly
- OSHA 10 preferred
