WAVE is excited to be hiring a Shipping Clerk to join our team in Aberdeen, MD. The individual in this role must be organized and have strong time management skills, as they handle a variety of tasks. This includes but is not limited to handling the scheduling of trucks, generating proper paperwork for material receipts and shipments, and ensuring positive truck flow through the facility, inbound and outbound.
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Start and end times may vary)
Responsibilities

• Answering phones and directing calls
• Taking messages and passing them on to the appropriate person
• Keeping records and files organized and up to date.
• Sorting and distributing incoming mail and packages.
• Filing and retrieving documents and paperwork
• Entering data into computer systems and databases
• Typing and preparing correspondence. Reports. And other documents
• Organizing and scheduling appointments
• Ordering office supplies and maintain inventory levels.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, organizational, time management, multi-tasking
• FedEx / UPS Ship Station's (Processing and packaging Parcel shipments)
• Inventory support.
• Filing Material data sheets, Freight Bill of Ladings
• Inspection of inbound/outbound vended and non-vended items. Ensuring count accuracy, notating, and communicating any discrepancy between invoice and actual
• Actively participate in communication and WAVE culture
• Completion of shift paperwork and reporting
• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

• 1-2 years min experience preferred- WMS (SAP, Scale Manhattan, Red Prairie)
• 1-2 years min experience preferred - Basic computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, One Drive, etc. )
• 1-2 years min experience preferred- DC. Shipping, Manufacturing, Warehouse experience
• Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds
• Able to stand 8-10 hours per day at assigned work area
• Background check required

High School Diploma or equivalent in General Studies
