Responsibilities PeopleTec is currently seeking a Nuclear Engineer to support our Ogden, UT location. The selected candidate will be a member of our dynamic Hill Air Force Base team in Ogden, Utah and a classified Government contract on Hill Air Force Base addressing cyber security requirements and services and will assist with the development and implementation of information assurance (IA), and security standards and procedures. Our team supports state-of-the-art projects, by providing knowledge, experience, and resources across a broad range of diverse professional disciplines and functional capabilities. These disciplines and capabilities include areas such as acquisition, administration, business analysis, cybersecurity, engineering, Digital Engineering, finance, integration, mission effectiveness, Nuclear Surety, Program Management, research, risk management, science, strategy development, sustaining engineering, systems engineering, system safety and security, and technical assessment. * Actively participates in meetings and conferences
* Reviews problems and performs work necessary to make progress towards solutions

* Leads, guides and mentors junior engineers and facilitates learning Qualifications Required Skills/Experience : * Understanding of radiation transport with emphasis on neutron and photon transport
* Understanding of nuclear fission/fusion processes, cross sections, and nuclear interactions
* Programming experience in Python, C , Matlab, or Fortran
* Experience with simulation software such as MCNP, GEANT, or OpenMC
* Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to work in team-based setting or individually with minimal supervision
* Travel: 20% * Must be a U.S. Citizen * An active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
