Responsibilities Peraton is currently seeking skilled and qualified Help Desk Tier III Technician to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the US Senate ITSC IV program located in Washington, D.C. This person will support our customer with aligning their technologies with overall goals and better utilize existing technologies and processes. This role requires excellent analytical skills, extensive technical knowledge, and the ability to understand how technology supports business and organization goals. Day to Day Work Responsibilities: * Provides high-level technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software including Windows server and VMware environments.
* Applies advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes, and recommend solutions.
* Provide expert-level support for issues that Tier 1 and Tier 2 agents are unable to resolve, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
* Coordinate with users to schedule support sessions, ensuring minimal disruption to their work and effective resolution of technical issues, including after hours support to accommodate users and server availability.
* Advanced level experience in MAC/PC hybrid environments including mobile devices.
* Hands-on experience with a wide range of infrastructure, including but not limited to Operating Systems, Device Management, and client systems
* Contribute to departmental policies and procedures related to computer hardware, software installations and customer support.
* Support Windows 11, Windows Server, VMware, Mac OS, iOS, and Android
* Monitor, update and maintain tickets in defined ticketing system.
* Provide assistance when needed to support the team in developing and/or updating Standard Operating Procedures for executive assistants, end users and IT users
* Undertake other assigned responsibilities as required, ensuring they do not detract from primary Tier 3 support functions.Qualifications Basic Qualifications: * Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 8 years experience; minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; or High School Diploma/GED and 12 years experience.
* U.S. Citizenship Required; must have the ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust security clearance
* Experience with VMware
* Physical and Virtual Server technologies and platforms
Target Salary Range $80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
