Peraton is Hiring a Technical Program Manager Near Washington, DC

Responsibilities:

Peraton is seeking an enthusiastic Program Manager who will lead our Data Engineering and Processing (DEAP) program for our CFTC customer. This team builds, maintains, and operates a collection of processes which ingests operational data used by systems and analysts across various customer business area. T his position is remote with occasional visits onsite to the CFTC office in Washington, D.C. The identified candidate must be local to the work location- DC, VA, MD area.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for delivery oversight of all services performed and is the primary point of contact for the customer.
  • The Program manager is responsible for ensuring all contract requirements are met.
  • The Program manager will have P&L and contract growth responsibilities.
  • The Program manager is responsible for recommending improvements to existing processes and creating efficiencies.
  • The Program manager will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • versees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience managing software development and data related programs.
  • Ability and willingness to learn about and understand the data used at CFTC.
  • Experience in implementing and executing an agile framework to run operations.
  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
  • Experience directing and prioritizing tasks.
  • Ability to develop project schedules and allocate resources where needed.
  • Ability to manage a team of 20-25 individuals (Peraton employees and subcontractor staff)
  • Ability to perform Peraton administrative functions such as, participate in financial reviews, employee timesheet tracking and approvals, and invoice approvals.
  • Ability to present Program Management Reviews at the director and VP levels.
  • Ability to interact, plan, and coordinate with customers.
  • Knowledge and experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes.
  • Experience managing a program involving multiple technologies such as, C# (.Net), Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Team Foundation Server (TFS), AWS S3/Redshift, MS Azure, and Greenplum.
  • Experience managing varying degrees of legacy systems, and a user community that requires instant and continuous access to daily data streams.
  • Ensure that team members perform daily data loading and report generation checks.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing software development engagements in a CMMI Level 2 or above environment.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance (Public Trust).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the financial industry is a plus.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Federal or Government contracting and consulting experience is a plus.
  • PMP or ITIL Certification
  • Agile certifications

Target Salary Range:
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
