Responsibilities

The UI/UX Manager will serve as the UI/UX SME for all aspects of program work performed and will provide support in mission applications planning, design, and strategy by optimizing user functional applications capabilities and maturity. As a SME, the UI/UX Manager will understand customer needs, services and core missions, and match them with best-in-class technology to define a north-star target state.

The UI/UX Manager will be responsible for the prioritization and sequencing of the applications migration and integration by proposing a strategic customer experience roadmap that leads to the target state. The UI/UX Manager shall lead key discussions around customer experience programs from both business and technical perspectives.

• Support and advise on all customer experience activities across the contract, lead and mentor technical staff
• Work with senior technical leaders on driving continuous customer experience improvement and innovation into overall operations following design standards.
• Work with Government leadership and industry partners to help identify and drive innovative solutions resulting in overall improved program customer experience, acceptance performance and related cost reductions that meet or exceed user and business needs. 
• Lead design reviews and set design standards for the team and trains and supports the team in UI/UX best practices
• Collaborate regularly with product managers and engineers while holding traditional management duties such as planning, monitoring progress on deliverables, and presenting to stakeholders
• Lead UI/UX Team by mentoring direct reports, making hiring decisions, and help team members improve by providing feedback

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree and 12- 15 years of experience, Master's degree and 10-13 years of experience, or PhD and 10 plus years of experience required.
• Must possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for SCI
• Must have an ITIL Foundations Level Certification (or higher)
• Must have a minimum of five years of experience creating user stories, communicating business change requirements, and leading geographically dispersed agile teams.

Desired Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of five years of experience with Federal data privacy, risk management, and compliance requirements
• Ability to write and verbally communicate detailed technical information and risk-related concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical senior leaders and audiences
• Strong interpersonal and networking skills
• Agile/SAFe Certification
• Certified User Experience Professional (CUXP)
