Provide administrative and data support to the Engineering department, create bill of materials for new and current product lines using SYSPRO or equivalent software; and maintain sample library.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Configures Bills of Materials (BOM) efficiently for ease of understanding, completeness, and accuracy.
- Works closely with Engineering, to guarantee a set number of jobs are processed out of engineering guidelines.
- Incorporate Engineering Change Notices into Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Organize and maintain the Sample Library.
- Pull and prepare samples for shipment to China, produce commercial invoices, and other required documents, and prepare for shipment via UPS or FEDEX.
- Makes recommendations for enhancements to products.
- Proficient in company software, SYSPRO or equivalent software
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suites.
- Exceptional listening and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Basic experience of bill of materials or equivalent experience in a similar industry
- Work requires periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust.
- The position requires PPE to be worn in designated areas.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend a large majority of time walking, standing, and using hands to push/pull.
- The position will require occasional stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- The employee is required to lift and /or move up to 20 to 50 pounds regularly.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
