As an Apprentice Massage Therapist, you will work closely with licensed massage therapists to gain practical experience and develop the skills necessary to provide therapeutic massage services to clients. This position offers a structured learning environment aimed at preparing you for a career in massage therapy.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed massage therapists in preparing treatment rooms and equipment for client sessions
• Observe and learn various massage techniques, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and sports massage
• Provide support during client sessions, including preparing clients for treatment and assisting with post-session care
• Learn and apply proper body mechanics and techniques to ensure client comfort and safety
• Participate in client intake processes, including conducting initial assessments and documenting client histories
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment rooms and equipment
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice in massage therapy
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enrollment in or completion of a massage therapy program from an accredited institution
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in massage therapy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients
• Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of relevant coursework in massage therapy techniques and modalities
• Prior experience volunteering or working in a massage therapy setting
