Headquartered in Chicago, our client is a world leader in electronics and metal scrap recycling and non-ferrous export for over 15 years. Their team has over 30 years experience in reusing and recycling metal commodities, and they are known as one of the top five metal exporters in the entire Midwest.
They are looking for an energetic Customer Service Expert to join their growing business development team. You must have both written and verbal communication skills to maintain client relationships after the initial sales cycle has closed.
**Responsibilities:**
* Conduct weekly follow ups with established vendors via e-mail and phone
* Process vendor requests for purchase orders, payment updates, and settlement reporting
* Support company business development representatives and executive management
* Update progress tracking reports
* Manage additional vendor accounts when needed
* Multi-tasking on a daily basis
**Qualifications:**
* Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Basic word processing skills are necessary
* Basic spreadsheet manipulation skills necessary
* Basic email skills necessary
* Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
