Performix is Hiring a Database Administrator Near Saint Paul, MN
·Clientis seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) who will be a member to theInfrastructure Team, will need to work closely with the Server SystemEngineers, and collaborate with other client’s department and Enterpriseteams.
·Theresource will help migrate to new versions of SQL and ensure the availabilityand optimization of the current MSSQL 2008 – 2022 databases.
·Theresource may occasionally work with other database platforms such as Oracle.
·Thisposition will need to have experience in ETL processes and have knowledge ofAzure SQL Database and Managed Instances.
Jobresponsibilities
·SupportSQL server applications
·SupportingSQL Server components, including SSIS and SSRS
·Maintainingand troubleshooting ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes
·PerformingSQL backups and Disaster Recovery
·Performingdatabase migrations & upgrades
·Workingwith Azure SQL technologies
·Documentingwork and processes
·Providementorship to other DBAs on the team
·Provideknowledge transfer
DesiredSkills
·Experiencewith SQL server applications and supporting components, including SSIS andSSRS.
·Experiencemaintaining and troubleshooting ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes.
·Experiencein mentor IT staff and database design
·Experiencein assessing and introducing new technologies to improve operation of databaseinfrastructure.
·Experienceas a lead worker in a team of subject matter experts of varying capacities
·Experiencein Microsoft Azure SQL technologies.
·Experiencewith Always-On and other High Availability SQL technologies
