PERI is currently looking for an Credit Coordinator to join our PERI Family! The Credit Coordinator (CC) main purpose is to perform credit management activities, credit checks, managing customer/sales portfolios, collecting receivables on past due invoices, and maintaining lien/bond rights. The CC does this by working with customers and internal teams via constant communication and data exchange. In addition, it is the responsibility of the CC position to provide excellent customer service to customers and work collaboratively with Sales, Order Management, Logistics team members and other internal departments.

What you’ll do in a typical day:
  • Perform credit management activities according to group guidelines and standards including managing and collecting receivables.
  • Conduct all customer credit checks to ensure an accurate credit decision can be made.
  • Collect payments from customers on past due invoices via phone or email, create and provide statements and reports for assigned portfolio of customers and sales team and preserve lien/bond rights on projects.
  • Adhere to the guidelines and requirements pertaining to credit ratings, credit limits, and credit terms.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the Sales team to review past due accounts and establish strategy to collect past due accounts.
  • Prepare documents to be provided to outside counsel and/or collection firms.
  • Assist and prepare customer credit requests for the Sales team to approve and sign off on.
  • Research and assign correct customer payment applications.
  • Research and prepare lien waivers for execution.
  • Monitor projects to ensure project is preserving lien and bond rights.
  • Contact and collaborate with customers to collect payments, and answer questions.
  • Follow escalate process for unpaid payments
What you’ll need to be successful:
  • Experience working in a Credit and Collections department and a strong understanding of lending practices and legal claims.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to facilitate dispute and closeout resolution.
  • Experience working in an Accounting Software Systems (SAP preferred).
  • Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgement.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to problem-solve.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time, tasks, and resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team along with the ability to manage and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high level of emotional intelligence and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Creative and strategic thinker who possesses excellent. interpersonal skills needed to effectively convey information and communicate to various levels of an organization.
