Title: Google File Migration Analyst

Duration: 12 months contract

Location: Milwaukee, WI 53214 AND Paramus, NJ (Hybrid)

Education Level: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent work experience

The Challenge:

The primary purpose of the File Migration Consultant is to migrate files from Windows PCs and Servers to Google Drive and Google Shared Drives. The role involves analyzing existing file storage and security, collaborating with file owners to develop a migration plan, and executing the data migration to Google.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyze file storage and security on existing Windows File Servers.

• Communicate professionally and effectively with data owners to create a migration plan, provide updates, and obtain feedback.

• Address any issues that arise during the migration promptly and professionally.

• Engage other resources or teams to assist with issue escalations as needed.

• Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of Windows security, Google Apps, PowerShell, and VBScript.

• Create change request tickets for all changes and confirm approval before starting work.

• Track migration work in detail from start to finish for each group of data.

Essentials Skills & Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience.

• Experience:

o Minimum of 3 years of experience in server file security.

o Technical Knowledge: Windows Server file security, Google Drive, Google Shared Drive, Beyond Compare, and scripting.

• Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work actively in a cohesive and collaborative team.

• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

• High-level communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks within the same project.

Required Certification / Licenses / Training: Windows and Google certifications and training.

ITIL Certified.

Key Skills:

• Strong communication skills, able to communicate with all levels of management.

• Organizational and task management.

• Technical knowledge of Windows file security structure.

• Ability to analyze and translate Microsoft Server data to Google Drive.

• 3-5 years of experience with Windows Server security.
