Job Title: Oracle CC&B Functional Analyst
Location: Paramus, NJ
Duration: 12 Months
Type: Hybrid office work environment, with at least 2 days in the office and additional days as needed.
Description:
The Oracle CC&B Functional Analyst will support the Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) application for Veolia North America businesses throughout the ITIL Service Lifecycle model. This role focuses on functional analysis rather than application development, requiring direct interaction with CC&B users and management to solve operational problems, design solutions, perform configuration tasks, resolve incidents, manage business changes, and support system patches or upgrades.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with business users to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and address business needs.
• Recommend application configurations and functionalities (native or custom) for the supported system or modules.
• Analyze and resolve application issues.
• Create functional design documentation for changes, fixes, and enhancements based on business requirements; coordinate with technical teams as necessary.
• Execute Quality Assurance (QA) testing and provide best practice recommendations.
• Coordinate testing activities and assist with user testing to achieve user sign-off.
• Communicate clearly within the support group and assist team members as needed.
• Suggest enhancements to supported functions based on observations and user feedback.
• Participate in applying patches to assigned modules, ensuring system functionality.
• Follow change control processes for implementing changes.
• Support interfaces to and from other systems impacting assigned modules.
• Participate in all project development life cycle phases.
• Provide Level 2 support to the Batch Operation Team for incident resolution and ensure the completion of critical business processes.
• Monitor compliance of assigned modules with IT standards and policies.
• Provide regular status updates, ad-hoc reports, and documentation to track team progress.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years in a computer science, technology service, or management information systems environment.
• At least 4 years in application implementation or lifecycle development, with experience in planning, documenting, validating, and testing technical solutions.
• 2 years supporting nightly batch operations.
• Proficiency with Oracle CC&B Application (minimum 2 years required).
• Experience with Customer & Field Service modules and Mobile Workforce Management integration (preferred).
• Experience with external customer-facing website integration and application upgrades (preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience in QA testing, preferably leading the functional side.
• Knowledge of IS Change Control Processes.
• Experience working with offshore resources and coordinating with vendors.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to document processes, workflows, user requirements, and integration flows.
• Capability to manage small to medium-complexity projects related to application configuration.
