The salary range for this role, based in New York is $103,200.00 to $141,900.00, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate's experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Position Summary
The Manager, Innovation Insights & Strategy will be responsible for driving innovation insights strategy & activation for the US. This person will proactively identify knowledge gaps, lead creative approaches to uncover insights, and drive learnings to action. The Manager will be a champion of deep consumer, demand moment, and growth terrain understanding.
  • The successful candidate for this role will
    • Have successful experience identifying innovation insights and activating from ideation to launch
    • Have experience with design thinking, behavioral science, and ethnographic learning approaches
    • Know how to prioritize knowledge gaps, build holistic learning plans, and tell consumer stories
    • Know how to quickly drive alignment on learning plans with multiple stakeholders
    • Be insatiably curious about consumers & culture, and creative in exploring new ways to learn
    • Be passionate about uncovering unmet needs and solving consumer problems
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead innovation insights strategy and activation on priority brands
  • Build holistic innovation learning plans from development to validation, using design thinking techniques, and driving alignment with local and global stakeholders
  • Identify unmet needs and trial drivers. Ensure insights are integral to concept, liquid, packaging, and drink strategy as a key partner in development
  • Activate demand segmentation innovation insights, instilling deep empathy on demand moments and growth terrains with business partners
  • Support development of innovation insight capabilities and best practices, such as establishing design thinking best practices
  • Be a thought leader in the innovation and insights communities, including strong relationships with global Center of Excellence and Brand Company insights partners
Required Skills & Abilities
  • 5 years of insights & strategy experience, including innovation insights
  • 5 years leading primary qualitative & quantitative innovation research
  • Experience converting insights into successful innovation launches
  • Experience building holistic learning plans & driving quick alignment
  • Proven ability to focus on critical questions, and experience leading iterative learning approaches
  • Experience analyzing syndicated shopper data (e.g. Nielsen, IRI, Numerator)
  • Ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders at Director level
  • Experience driving insights on global brands and working in a global insights community preferred
  • Experience in spirits, alcohol, beverages, or other image-based categories preferred
Education
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: MBA or Master's Degree
