Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of software developers in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining critical software applications for our operations. You will play a key role in ensuring that our software solutions are secure, scalable, and meet the ever-evolving needs of our business.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the software development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Champion Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions efficiently and on time.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Recruit, hire, and mentor talented software developers.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for the team.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable technical requirements.
• Design and implement secure software solutions that adhere to industry best practices and IT security frameworks.
• Advocate for and implement cloud technologies to improve scalability and agility.
• Leverage experience in offshoring to develop and manage efficient overseas development teams.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using Microsoft .Net, C#, and Oracle PL/SQL(or equivalent technologies).
• Stay up-to-date on the latest software development trends and technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7-10 years of experience in progressive software development roles, with a demonstrated track record of leadership and success.
• Proven experience in leading and motivating software development teams.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies and Agile principles.
• Experience with Microsoft .Net, C#, and Oracle PL/SQL (or equivalent technologies).
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) a plus.
• Experience in offshoring and developing methods for outsourcing overseas is a plus.
• Experience in the Wholesale/Retail industry is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 
• Mandarin or Cantonese language proficiency is a plus. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Passion for building secure and maintainable software solutions.
