Location: Clinton Young Elementary Master Teacher Position Purpose Master teachers function in a unique manner relative to the traditional teacher. Their primary role is, with the leadership team, to analyze student data, create and institute an academic achievement plan for the school. Master teachers lead cluster/ Professional Development groups and provide demonstration lessons, coaching and team teaching with teachers. They also support teachers by model teaching with students. Master teachers collaborate to support teachers by identifying learning resources. They are partners with the school administration in observing and evaluating teachers. Essential Job Functions
Analyze school-wide student data to support the development of a school plan.
Collaboratively plan, facilitate and follow-up Cluster/ PD meetings.
Team teach with colleagues, demonstrate model lessons, observe and provide peer assistance and coaching toward meeting teachers goals.
Observe teacher performance using the NIET Instructional Rubrics and conduct follow-up teacher conferences.
Participate in all NIET trainings and become a Certified NIET evaluator.
Participate in all required Instructional Technology trainings.
Attend professional development meetings.
Support the use of 21st Century Technology as relevant to the rubrics and instruction.
Equipment Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, calculator, and telephone. Travel Requirements Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
