- Collects, prepares, and tests various blood and body fluids as directed by physician and/or midlevel provider and as governed by established procedures to provide the clinician with information for patient evaluation, monitoring, and treatment.
- Performs, records and interprets quality control measures to assure accurate test results. Also performs scheduled equipment maintenance to assure efficient continuing operation, investigates, and corrects simple to moderate instrument/reagent malfunctions.
- Completes, routes and files Laboratory reports according to established procedures to provide accurate and timely tests results to patients and physicians. Maintains skill level to provide customers with appropriate information regarding laboratory procedures.
- Assists with other clerical duties as necessary, which may include answering the phone or writing and reviewing Laboratory test procedures.
