  • Ensuring effective verbal and written communication through open communication with participants, partners and organization. This requires:
    • Writing in a clear and concise manner with minimal errors at 95% accuracy
    • Actively listen and keep others informed as needed with accuracy to avoid misinterpretation or ambiguity.
    • Responding and acknowledging emails within 24 hours
  • Ensuring organizational skills to meet priorities, goals, and deadlines. This requires:
    • Effectively managing time, workload, and projects to meet organizational initiatives by 95%.
    • Tracking progress and meeting project deadlines by 95%.
    • Show efficiency in managing daily work in collaboration to support others with compliance and regulatory tasks.
  • Ensuring 95% of OPWDD regulatory compliance through monthly eVero reviews to track, monitor, approve and/or process service units, data collection and regulatory documentation. This will require a system and process for weekly monitoring and tracking of:
    • eVero Dashboard
    • Compliance Audits
    • Staff Action Plan reviews/approval
    • EVV Status
    • Life Plan Meetings
    • Safeguards
  • Ensuring effective analytical and reasoning skills. This requires:
    • Maintaining accurate auditing records and metrics with minimal errors at 95%
    • Performing thorough investigations with appropriate recommendations
    • Preparing audit reports, ensuring all information, and supporting documents are available, for review and accordance with designated timeframes.

    • Engaging in creative thinking in approach to systems and procedural innovation for method and systems improvements.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Person-Centered Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring efficient and compliant operations within the organization. They are responsible for auditing processes, conducting compliance audits, providing training, and actively participating in quality improvement initiatives. The role involves maintaining knowledge of relevant regulations and policies and implementing strategies to enhance the quality of support and services provided.
  • Audit Evero for Billing Efficiency: Conduct audits to ensure efficient and timely billing for all programs utilizing the Evero system.
  • Develop and Implement Compliance Auditing Systems: Create and implement efficient systems for compliance auditing and reporting to ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as Internal Auditor: Conduct audits across departments to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain Auditing Systems for Billing Compliance: Develop, monitor, and maintain auditing systems to ensure billing efficiency and compliance within all programs.
  • Attend Training Programs: Participate in relevant internal and external training programs related to Corporate Compliance and Quality Assurance.
  • Participate in Committee Meetings: Actively engage in committee meetings as needed to contribute to organizational initiatives and decision-making.
  • Design and Conduct Training Programs: Design and deliver training and educational programs to enhance employee professional growth and improve support and services according to PCCS standards.
  • Serve as a Compliance Resource: Demonstrate expertise in training and maintain regulatory knowledge to serve as a resource to staff regarding compliance and OPWDD regulations.
  • Support Quality Improvement Projects: Support agency-wide and program-specific quality improvement projects, including strategic planning, program assessments, and satisfaction surveys.
  • Lead Quality Improvement Projects: Lead projects aimed at improving quality, including program assessments, observations, and support with site development.
  • Review Plans and Program Documents: Review plans and program documents to ensure a person-centered approach, quality, and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Track and Maintain Compliance Metrics: Keep track of investigations, compliance, and audit analytics and metrics for reporting and improvement purposes.
  • Become a Master Trainer: Attain master trainer status for SCIP, CPR/First Aid as needed to ensure compliance with safety and training requirements.
  • Conduct Corporate Compliance Investigations: Conduct investigations related to Corporate Compliance and Reportable incidents as needed, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain Regulatory Knowledge: Stay knowledgeable about OPWDD Regulations, Incident Management, and PCCS Policies and Procedures to ensure compliance and adherence.
  • Other Duties: Undertake any other assignments deemed necessary by the Supervisor in alignment with the role.
