Person Directed Supports has immediate openings for Direct Support Professionals / Therapeutic Behavioral Supporters and Mental Health Workers in the Lehigh and Northampton County areas. Experience working with Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities or autism is welcomed but not needed as PDS provides a full paid training program. Home Health Aide / Direct Support Professional Job Requirements:
We are a human services agency dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families so they can create and enjoy happy and meaningful lives. Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work directly with the people we support assisting with meals, daily living skills, and community outings, among many other things.
You will assist individuals with at the person's community living home. Duties may include keeping house (making beds, doing laundry, washing dishes) and preparing meals as well as advising families and individuals regarding such things as nutrition, cleanliness, and household activities.
Additional responsibilities of the Direct Support Professional include:
