Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our team. The ideal
candidate will have a strong background in rough carpentry work and be proficient in various
construction techniques. As a Journeyman Carpenter, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks,
including but not limited to:
 Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout
and determine dimensions and materials required.
 Maintaining records, document actions, and present written progress reports
 Framing walls, floors, and roofs
 Installing windows, doors, and siding
 Verifying trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level
 Inspecting ceiling or floor tiles, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken
or damaged structures.
 Finishing surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses or buildings, using paint, hand tools, or
paneling
 Erecting scaffolding and other temporary structures
 Operating power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
 Collaborating with other tradespeople and contractors on-site
 Ensuring work is completed according to specifications and building codes
 Always adhering to safety protocols and guidelines
Requirements:
 Proven experience as a Journeyman Carpenter or similar role
 Proficiency in carpentry techniques and practices
 Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
 Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
 Knowledge of building codes and regulations
 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 MUST have own tools
 Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
 Must be eligible for Military Base access.
