We are looking for an experienced Field Mechanic to help with our Equipment Group. Ideally this candidate would have previous experience as a field or shop tech for a rental company or an equipment manufacturer that is looking for a change of pace from constantly being on call nights and weekends and from the grind of high volumes of broken-down equipment sent in from other locations. We have a Fleet of mostly late model John Deere and Kubota dirt equipment along with some Skid steers, Forklifts, and a few aerial pieces. At Persons Services Corp we have qualified operators that take pride in our equipment and help us to avoid the abuses that can be seen in Rental Fleets. The pay Scale for this role will be based on experience.
Responsibilities

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
• Travel to job sites for repair/maintenance of equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Repair and maintain fleet & haul trucks
• Other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 3 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Must own tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
• Welding/cutting/fabrication experience required
• Small engine experience is a plus
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs
