At Petal, we welcome diverse perspectives from people who think rigorously and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions.* **Senior IT Support Specialist Role** As Petals Senior IT Support Specialist, you will help build and maintain the tools and infrastructure that allow our entire company to operate. You will join our rapidly growing NYC office and support all things IT - from new hire onboarding to advanced VPN/Zero-Trust configuration to building workflows and policies around IT and Information Security. In this role, you will act as subject matter expert supporting macOS, Windows, and all common office software and applications such as GSuite (Google Workspace), identity management, MDM products, and open source software. Were looking for someone excited about the prospect of joining a startup and being a lead member of our IT team. **Key responsibilities:** Act as subject matter expert and in some cases admin of tools including office software and applications such as GSuite (Google Workspace), identity management, MDM products, and open source software. Ensure successful technology onboarding and offboarding for employees Assist with tier 1 support requests and act as point person for any tier 2 and tier 3 escalations Play a crucial role in setting IT processes and communicating them broadly to the team Take on special projects in areas including networking, information security (e.g. endpoint detection and response), among others Drive advancement in IT strategy by researching IT tools and systems, and submitting recommendations for future use 3 years experience within IT Management Advanced knowledge of the following technologies: network infrastructure, Google Workspace products, Okta, Email security / monitoring, Window and macOS Servers, Cloud Storage such as Google Drive, Conferencing / collaboration technologies (ideally Zoom) Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimum supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail A passion for providing excellent service and solving issues Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments Should be able to undertake some physically demanding tasks e.g. lifting 10 pounds, moving equipment, etc. **Nice-to-haves:** Experience with the following technologies: IT Security tools and best practices, Jamf Pro, Azure AD or JumpCloud, Intune, and Windows Autopilot, Microsoft 365, Self-service operating and support models
