Responsibilities:
Cultivate and maintain key relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other industry professionals.
Collaborate with architects to understand project specifications and ensure our construction services meet design requirements.
Act as a liaison between the construction team and clients, ensuring clear communication and client satisfaction.
Develop partnerships and alliances within the construction industry to enhance our network and market presence.
Develop opportunities for community engagement that enhances company visibility Lead estimating in preparing accurate and competitive bids for construction projects. Oversee the review of project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain pricing and subcontractor bids.
Ensure that estimates are in alignment with project scope, quality, and schedule requirements.
Continuously analyze and improve estimating processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Manage the contracting process, including negotiations, contract development, and execution.
Collaborate with pre construction teams to provide insights into cost, scheduling, and constructability during the preconstruction phase.
Ensure that all necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals are obtained before project commencement.
Work closely with project managers to facilitate a seamless transition from pre construction to project execution.
Oversee the development of project budgets and schedules to align with client expectations and company objectives.
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of construction professionals, including project managers, site supervisors, and support staff.
Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, taking proactive steps to mitigate risks and address issues in conjunction with operations manager
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices in conjunction with the operations manager.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts related to the construction division's performance
Maintains job log for each active job
Conducts regular project review meetings with customers
Responsible for change orders: scope, cost, documentation, and customer approval Responsible for punch list and job completion
Financial / Cost Management
Identifies cost concerns in the estimating phase
Tracks actual costs against estimates and coordinates with sales and accounting Approves invoices for payment supervision
Ensures compliance with all company rules, policies, and agreements
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in construction management, Business, or a related field Proven experience in construction management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials. Excellent sales and business development skills with a demonstrated ability to identify and close opportunities.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with architects, clients, and team members.
Experience working with architects
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Familiarity with industry regulations, codes, and safety standards.
Financial acumen for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Able to travel to the construction site(s) daily. This is a field management position. Able to work weekends and extended hours as necessary to meet production milestones
