Peterson Cat is Hiring a Full-time Custodian. (Shift:2:30PM to 11:00PM)
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the cleaning and general upkeep of the premises.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign the functions to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. Job functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Sweep, mop, and scrub all shop floors.
- Empty trash and garbage containers on a daily basis.
- Clean and wash walls, shop windows, door panels and sills.
- Clean lint, dust, oil and grease from shop equipment and benches.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
- Arrange boxes, material, and hand trucks or other industrial equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
- Clean and maintain the wash bay areas.
- Other duties may be assigned to maintain cleanliness for the service department.
- Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules.
- Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, safely and in alignment with Peterson’s core values. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED; and good previous work record. Previous custodial/janitorial experience is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Ability to become lift truck certified
