The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is responsible for managing health problems and coordinating care for Transitional/Palliative Care patients, providing coverage for patients under Peterson Health services as needed, provide clinical leadership and expertise within Peterson Health system as well as community healthcare organizations.
Required Education:
Graduate from an accredited school with Master’s Degree in Nursing
Required Technical Skills:
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, ability to research latest evidence based practices and implement in patient care practice, advance practice nursing skills as defined by Nursing Standards of practice, basic computer skills
Required License/Certification/Registration:
Current license in the state of Texas as a Registered Nurse with recognition as an Advanced Practice Nurse, certified to provide care to Adult and Gerontology population with prescriptive authority
Preferred License/Certification/Registration:
Advanced Certification for Hospice and Palliative Care
Required Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience required
Preferred Experience:
Hospice/Palliative Care experience
