The Benefits Coordinator coordinates the implementation of Peterson Health's benefit programs including the major medical/dental insurance program, section 125 plan, group life insurance, supplemental insurances offerings and retirement plans. Completes records for enrollments and changes in employee eligibility for these and other related benefits. The position is the primary contact point for employees with questions, concerns, or problems associated with their benefit program.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business, Human Resources or Benefits administration; 3-5 years of benefit administration experience may be substituted for college degree.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
Required Technical Skills:
Familiarity with various models of benefit program administration. Familiarity with various database/software programs for managing and maintaining benefit information. Public speaking.
Preferred Technical Skills:
At least 2 years' experience with current HRIS.
Preferred Licensure /Registration /Certification:
HR or Benefits-related certification
Required Experience:
A minimum of 1-year previous experience in the area of benefit administration.
Preferred Experience:
3-5 years' experience in benefit administration.
