Description
The Receptionist provides personalized and effective customer service in the management of referrals for patients requiring specialty services from contracted medical groups, hospital systems, and third-party payors, facilitates the coordination of services in order to meet the needs of our patients, processes referrals and authorizations for client service facilities and works closely with provider(s)/provider(s) representatives, employers, and payers to achieve a positive impact on the outcome, cost, and quality of care rendered.
Preferred Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Technical Skills
Computer/Office equipment Skills - Knowledge and understanding of basic office systems (Microsoft Office, how to operate printers and Fax machines, ability to quickly learn other software platforms), strong typing skills.
Preferred Technical Skills
EMR (electronic medical record) experience
Required Experience
MS Office, 3-5 years previous experience in a hospital, physician office or case management setting.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in working with database systems and telephone call center and insurance and scheduling experience.
