Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Summary: Our Maintenance Supervisor will serve as the primary owner of all maintenance planning and tool crib oversight within a 24/7 manufacturing environment. He/she will play a critical role in ensuring optimal performance and increased uptime of Molding equipment, support equipment, and material feed equipment. As a planner, you look for opportunities to understand points of failure and eliminate chronic maintenance needs, increasing efficiency across the entire organization. Prospective candidates must have a passion for improvement, preventative maintenance, and overall cost reduction of spend to their departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversees and manages Total Maintenance Plans within the main production plant, with ability to support up to four locations.
- Manages and troubleshoots the CMMS. Identifies opportunities to upgrade or replace hardware/software to meet the current and future needs of its users.
- Coordinates with the Department’s management for preventative maintenance scheduling on critical assets.
- Maintains (revises or deletes) records in key data within the CMMS in response preventative maintenance program changes (examples of which include creating new task records, revising PM tasks/schedules, reassigning active PM during vacation coverage). Evaluates change proposals, coordinates change development, and implements change. Develops tests and evaluates application responses to changes in operating, application, and data environments.
- Performs the activities required to support maintenance and upkeep of gages, jigs and fixtures, special machines, and equipment.
- Manages facilities support systems, for example chillers, air compressors, heating/cooling, etc.
- Oversees the vendor that issues tools, tool kits, and equipment to workers. Ensures records are maintained, SOPs are developed, and budgets are monitored for outside vendor/tool crib.
- Establish appropriate min/max levels for inventory required to keep maintenance team operating as efficiently as possible.
- Manage VMI relationships to ensure inventory is maintained to appropriate min/max levels and works internally to partner with Office Manager on other vendor relationships as needed.
- Contribute to an accident-free work environment by complying with all company rules and regulations.
- Overtime and weekends (Saturday/Sunday) may be required.
- 4-year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in high-volume manufacturing environment OR equivalent combination of education and maintenance supervisory experience.
- Two years of experience in TPM programs, creating reports, and training users.
- Track record of TMP improvements in past work experience.
- Proven ability to multi-task on various projects simultaneously and ensure timelines are met through cross-functional teams. Manage sales projects for over 50% of customer base
- Computer skills required, to include database software, spreadsheet and word processing Microsoft Office software.
- Previous experience with electrical systems.
- Plastics experience preferred, specifically maintenance on injection molding equipment.
- Experience launching new CMMS system preferred.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma experience.

Physical RequirementsOccasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crawl. Employee is frequently exposed to extreme temperatures in warehouse environment. Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions. Frequently exposed to conditions typically found in a manufacturing plant: noise, dust, heat, and chemicals.
