Job Title: FOH Support – Barback, Runner, Busser

Department: Restaurant - FOH

Compensation: $16/hour 10% of tips

Hours: Full time, 30-40 hours

Schedule: Wednesday – Sunday, 10:30am – close (approx. 6:30pm)

Job Summary: Petrossian at Tiffany is a high-end Caviar Boutique and French Restaurant inside Tiffany’s at South Coast Plaza. Our small team is looking for an experienced and versatile FOH person to join our team. The FOH support position is essential in providing luxury customer service by acting as a liaison between the BOH and FOH and assisting the servers. The optimal candidate will have experience in fine dining service and be able to run food, bus tables, make various coffee/espresso drinks, and support the bar with prep.

Essential Functions

1. Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service to customers.

2. Able to adhere to fine dining service standards and procedures.

3. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses

4. Clear and reset tables within established standard timings and guidelines.

5. Assist in serving food and beverage to customers. This includes making coffees and prep for the bar.

6. Assist server with all aspects of service as required while maintaining cleanliness of the work area in a professional manner

7. Complete all side duties as assigned including polishing and re-stocking all service-ware, flatware, and drinkware.

8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

1. This position requires a drug test and background check.

2. Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

• Servsafe or equivalent food handler’s certification.

3. Minimum experience required:

• 2 years of restaurant experience, preferable in fine dining environment.

4. Skills required:

• Must have a good understanding of food safety.
• Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented
• Must be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information (in English) to guests and coworkers
• Must come to work in presentable uniform and good personal hygiene.
• Be able to maintain a positive attitude amidst an ever changing and demanding luxury environment.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Must possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help guests and co-workers.
